Guidelines for submitting manuscripts

Guidelines editorial

  1. Only original and unpublished contributions will be accepted. The Review's official language is Spanish. Contributions written in French, English, Italian or Portuguese will be published in those languages. Articles that have been published in the aforesaid languages or other will be considered only if it is the first time that they are translated to Spanish.

  2. All contributions must meet the following requirements when sent: printed with a laser printer, 1.5 line spacing and using font Arial 12. A diskette or an e-mail file must also be sent along with the article in MS Word DOS 5.0 or Word for Windows 6 or 7.

  3. The maximum length of each contribution is: from twenty five to thirty pages in the case of articles; for legislative studies, the extension will be from ten to fifteen pages; and five pages in the case of bibliography reviews.

  4. Each contribution must have an abstract in English and Spanish of no more than 200 words each one. Also, you have to include five key words, both in English and Spanish.

  5. The following format is suggested for citation:

  6. Along with all contributions a separate sheet with the following information should be included: author's name and address; current work place; position; telephone; fax; and e-mail address, so that we can keep contact with the authors.

  7. All material that meets the Publishing Criteria of the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas will be send for a double-blind review process. The opinions will base properly if the article is susceptible to be publicized, with or without corrections, or, if it is rejected. In case that exist change suggestions, the author will have two weeks to make them.

  8. Once a work is accepted, the authors will have to transfer the copyright to the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas.

    The Institute will send two issues to each author.

  9.
